Description
Yolo County Resource Conservation District is supporting farmers in applications for compost, mulching and other incentive programs from the state and federal governments.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service provides funding for nutrient management, compost, soil health on-farm practices through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
EQIP, offered by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, provides financial and technical support to help farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners implement conservation practices on working lands. Through one-on-one assistance, NRCS works with producers to develop conservation plans tailored to on-farm resource concerns. Funding is available to support practice implementation, and some producers may be eligible for advance payments.
