The County is currently providing educational services for farmers on the benefits of sustainable farming practices. Once NWL1a is completed, education will extend to training on the Carbon Bank and opportunities to compensate growers for the expenses incurred establishing sustainable farming practices.
The Yolo County Resource Conservation District (RCD) participates in multiple regional networks, including the Sacramento Valley Soil Hub, Inner Coast Collaborative, and University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), to share information and coordinate outreach.
Information is distributed through multiple email listservs covering general RCD updates, agriculture-focused updates, and wildfire-related resources.
Other organizations providing outreach and information are provided in the "Read more" section below.
