Continue to support Yolo County Flood Control & Water Conservation District’s (YCFCWCD) earthen canal recharge projects and trickle flow recharge projects in creeks and sloughs.

Status of Implementation
The YCFC&WCD continues to implement the winter recharge program. As of February 19, 2026, the YCFC&WCD successfully diverted 3,800 acre feet of winter flows from Cache Creek for recharge on farm fields and in the earthen canal system. The YCFC&WCD will be applying for a long-term water right from State Water Board to continue this program in the long term.
