The UC Master Gardener Program of Yolo County provides workshops, planting guides, and expert advice tailored to local growing conditions. The program also has a number of Demonstration Gardens that you can visit to get hands-on information about what grows well in Yolo County and get inspiration for your own space.

The County's Health and Human Services Agency also maintains the Hanna and Herbert Bauer Memorial Garden in the City of Woodland, and offers about 10 classes per year that are free and open to the public.
