When getting started on your PV solar installations, Valley Clean Energy's Electric Advisors Hotline can help!
Electric Advisors is a FREE service to help VCE residential customers take the guesswork out of going electric at home. VCE's team of friendly, knowledgeable and trained professionals can help at every step along the way – from simple questions to detailed plans to go electric. Energy Advisors are available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm PST (excluding holidays).
The Yolo Energy Partnership (YEP) is another helpful resource! YEP is a county-led program designed to help Yolo County residents reduce energy costs, improve home comfort, and access free energy efficiency resources. Through YEP, eligible residents can receive a free Home Energy Score assessment, weatherization kits, and guidance on electrification rebates and home repair assistance (while supplies last).
For multifamily properties, Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) Program provides financial incentives for installing solar panel and integrated storage systems that benefit both low-income tenants and property owners of multifamily affordable housing properties throughout California. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) oversees the SOMAH Program.
Getting solar and/or storage installed for your home can be an intimidating process. The CPUC has a solar consumer protection guide, with important information on protecting yourself from scams, finding a good solar provider, securing financing, and other resources.
