Collaborate with local groundwater agency to bring the Yolo Subbasin into sustainable conditions that avoid adverse effects of chronic overdrafting, including land subsidence, degradation of water quality, and groundwater depletion.

Continue coordination with Yolo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency on water resource management.

Status of Implementation
The Yolo County Sustainability Division has regular meetings with Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency (YSGA). The YSGA is currently preparing an updated Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) that is due to the CA Department of Water Resources by January 2027. The updated Yolo Subbasin GSP will include new details on the status of groundwater levels, land subsidence, and groundwater quality. Additionally, the YSGA has been working with the Hungry Hollow area to identify water budget and groundwater level concerns and to prioritize projects and management actions for implementation. One of the management actions discussed in these community meetings is to consider demand management practices that would reduce groundwater use in the area.
